AI for the whole family: a pocket companion, verified recipes, guided learning

Most AI products for kids are another glowing screen. The family tools on Hard EA take a different approach. The companion device is a ~$45 pocket-size hardware companion that talks, listens and shows simple expressions on a small display. It is voice-first and portable, and it uses companions you configure and supervise from your own account, so you decide who your child is talking to.

Little Brother is a household guardian: one AI persona that watches the house through small sentinel devices, remembers the day, and calls the family each evening with what mattered. It is a work in progress and marked alpha. In the kitchen, the Recipe Generator finds concepts through live web search and verifies the full recipe against real sources with multiple AI models before you see it, so family dinner is not a hallucination.

For school-age children, the education partner Parrhesia offers AI-guided learning built for students; the Education card links to their student signup. Every family tool runs on the same account and the same tokens as the rest of the site, and a parental lock can keep the account safe-for-work behind a password only a parent knows.

  4. Use the Recipe Generator for dinner and the Education link for lessons.

Frequently asked questions

Is the companion device safe for kids?

You configure which companion personality it uses from your own account, and its conversations run through the account controls you supervise. It is voice-first with a small display, designed to be screen-light rather than another tablet.

Are the AI recipes reliable?

Each recipe is checked against real web sources by multiple AI models before you see it. Concepts come from live search, then the full recipe is verified rather than free-generated.

What is Little Brother?

A household guardian. One AI persona watches the house through sentinel devices, keeps a log of the day, reviews it each evening and calls the family members you choose. It is marked alpha and still a work in progress.

What is Parrhesia?

The education partner offering AI-guided learning for students. The Education card links to their student signup at parrhesia.io. Lessons happen on the partner site rather than on Hard EA.

How do I keep the account safe for children?

Turn on SFW mode in settings and enable the parental lock. The lock keeps SFW mode on and can only be switched off with the password you set.
