Comic Translator AI: Translate Manga, Manhwa and Webtoons Into Any Language
Comic Translate takes a comic, manga, manhwa or webtoon in one language and gives you back the same pages lettered in another. Upload page images, a folder, a PDF, a CBZ or another comic archive, or paste chapter links from readers such as MangaDex, Webtoons and Tapas or a gallery link, in the order the pages should be read. An AI vision model reads every page and finds each speech bubble, caption, sign and sound effect, and who says it. The original words are then erased: exactly inside bubbles and text boxes, and filled in from the surrounding colours where the words were drawn over the picture.
The whole comic is translated together, in reading order, so names, the way each character talks and running jokes stay the same from the first page to the last. Each translated line is fitted to the shape of its own bubble, right to left for Arabic and Hebrew and in vertical columns where a language is set that way. You can letter up to six of 66 languages in one run, and the original language is detected for you.

Frequently asked questions
Can AI translate a manga or manhwa and put the words back in the bubbles?
Yes. The tool reads the words off each page, erases them, translates the whole comic together and letters the translation back into the same bubbles, captions and signs, sized to fit each one.
Which languages can it translate into?
66 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, Thai, Hindi, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Turkish. You can pick up to six in one run, and the source language is detected automatically.
What happens to sound effects drawn into the art?
You choose. By default the drawn effect stays and a small translation sits beside it, the way scanlation groups do it. You can also have it replaced with the translated effect, or leave it exactly as drawn.
Can I fix a line the translation got wrong?
Yes. Every line stays editable after the run: change the words, move the line or resize it, and the page is lettered again at no charge. Hold to compare shows the original page underneath.
What does it cost?
